Our "Meet the Expert" series introduces you to our team of experts around the world. This "behind the curtain" view will help you get to know who we are on a professional and personal level, and highlight how our colleagues work together on our higher purpose to improve patient health and safety throughout the complete product lifecycle.
At ProPharma, on the quality side in the Product Complaint (PC) department, I evaluate and follow-up daily within PC cases created by Medical Information (MI), which are received by both our clients as well as patients.
My role supports improving the health and safety of patients by adhering to their needs and going above and beyond within the parameters of the role to ensure that our patients are taken care of and understand how important a well-rounded, detailed PC case is to all involved. Earning a patient’s trust to handle the details of their experiences and any necessary steps that follow is important to their health and safety. The more information there is available, the more we will be able to take everything reported into consideration when making improvements company and client wide. It’s truly rewarding when patients recognize and appreciate the attention to detail and our hard work that goes into every single case.
My favorite thing about working with clients is the relationships and trust that is built between us. Soon, I will begin to sit in on client meetings. This will provide me with more experience and the opportunity to continue growing client relationships on a higher level with trust and effective communication. It can be a beautiful thing, building a platform within a company and being recognized as an essential member of a shared team from the outside and within.
Each day starts out with a cup of coffee while I navigate our database, first gathering cases to conduct case review and obtain an understanding of how the workday and caseload will be for the day. During case review, we go into a PC case identifying and documenting next actions to be taken, while also ensuring all necessary information has been properly documented/entered. These actions can include anything from a Product Retrieval, Follow-Up calls for missing information, to Acknowledgement Letters and Closure letters. Each of these actions are conducted throughout the remainder of the day, while also assisting with a shared PC inbox where emails from clients, patients, pharmacies, etc. are received and actioned into their corresponding PC cases. This role requires an extreme amount of technical ability for proofreading and keeping a variety of processes and timelines straight for our team and each unique client.
I am 25 years young. Originally, I am from the Peoria, IL area and currently reside in Kansas City, MO. At home, I live with my boyfriend and two fur babies: Jaxon, my 105 lb. chocolate lab; and Suge Nugget, our gray house cat. I graduated in 2020 with Dual bachelor’s degrees and played softball at my University (placing 6th at the Small College World Series in 2018). In my free time, I like to journal, try new things, and enjoy nature whenever possible. I also love spending time with my family and my friends. I believe it’s one of the most important things you can do for yourself, to surround yourself with people you love and who love and support you in return. At the end of the day, connection is the most meaningful thing we can create.
The main way ProPharma’s unique culture stands out the most is how diversity and individual support is very heavily valued. They respect and even celebrate employees’ different backgrounds and experiences. Having this kind of support from an employer brings a sense of comfort, safety and belonging. Spreading this positivity throughout the company lets us know how supported and cared for we are, and that type of energy will spread beyond the company to help us strengthen our development in society as a whole, too. I truly appreciate all the support and recognition that has been brought to me, and other ProPharma employees. It will only bring more opportunities for the future.
