What do you do at ProPharma? How does your role support improving the health and safety of patients?
As a Lead Clinical Systems Consultant within R&D Technology at ProPharma, project management, configuration, and post-implementation services are just a few of the activities I support.
I play a pivotal role in leveraging technology to advance the field of life sciences. My primary responsibility revolves around delivering tailored digital solutions to our esteemed clients, where I facilitate the implementation, scalability, and maintenance of life sciences technologies.
Partnering closely with each client, I adeptly translate their unique business requirements into fully optimized, best-practice configurable solutions. This process entails a risk-based approach aimed at minimizing manual intervention through strategic automation.
My efforts focus on implementing and enhancing life sciences technologies that not only streamline processes but also enhance user adoption, ensure compliance, and optimize timeliness. By reducing complexity and facilitating user-friendly systems, I empower our clients to concentrate on accelerating their time to market while upholding the highest standards of health and safety for patients.
Tell us about a day in the life of a clinical systems consultant.
A defining aspect of my role as a Lead Clinical Systems Consultant is the exceptional diversity of projects I undertake. My daily routine encompasses a dynamic spectrum of activities, ranging from the strategic implementation of cutting-edge R&D technologies for our clients to leading validation initiatives and overseeing the ongoing success of post-implementation managed services. This multifaceted exposure to a vast array of clients and their unique needs fosters the development of unparalleled expertise in the intricacies of R&D technology solutions. Every challenge encountered becomes a springboard for the continual expansion of my knowledge base, allowing me to approach a multitude of complex clinical systems issues with honed problem-solving acumen.
What is your number one goal / focus right now?
The life sciences industry is a perpetual sprint towards groundbreaking discoveries. This dynamic environment necessitates a constant evolution in technological capabilities employed within R&D. To remain at the forefront of this industry, I am dedicated to the expansion of my expertise in R&D technology solutions. This ongoing pursuit requires cultivating a nuanced understanding of the divergent technological needs across the life sciences industry spectrum. It also necessitates remaining abreast of the avant-garde in life science technology by engaging with leading voices in the field and continuously honing my technical skills. This commitment allows me to deliver exceptionally fit-for-purpose solutions for a heterogeneous clientele.
Tell us a little bit about yourself outside of work.
Outside of my virtual workspace, I enjoy the bliss of married life alongside a household brimming with three furry companions: my two dogs, Maverick and Rocco, and my cat, Kitty Waffles. Their exuberance necessitates a dedicated lint roller in every room and car – a small price to pay for the joy they bring!
When the sun graces us with its presence, you might find me embarking on a leisurely stroll with Maverick and Rocco, accompanied by a stimulating podcast. Alternatively, I may be found engaging in a spirited game of pickleball, relishing the outdoor activities that warm weather brings.
However, when winter's chill settles in, I retreat to the warmth of my humble abode. Here, you'll often find me indulging in my passion for music, fingers dancing across the ivory keys in genres ranging from classical to jazz to new age. Or perhaps I'll be cozied up on the couch, ensconced in the glow of a crackling fire, with a steaming cup of coffee in hand, and my pets by my side. Together, we'll immerse ourselves in a captivating lineup of Survivor, tennis, or UFC, finding solace and entertainment in the comforts of home.
