Meet the Expert: Renata Pankiewicz, Senior Consultant, Product Lifecycle Management

What do you do at ProPharma Group?

At ProPharma, I work as a Senior Consultant Product Life Cycle Management in the Life Science Consulting department. My role is to support clients in addressing technical, operational, strategical and regulatory issues they face in developing new drugs. I mainly support clients who develop biological products such as therapeutic proteins and cell & gene therapy (ATMP) products. I believe that with my work I contribute to development of safe and effective drugs and therapies that improve patient’s life.

What do you like best about working with clients? 

There are few things I like when working with clients:

-the diversity each project offers for learning and deepening knowledge
-when clients are satisfied because their projects progress thanks to my input
-a variety of interactions and expectations
-opportunity to work in an intercultural and international environment.

What’s your number one goal / focus right now?

Currently, I would like to gain more experience on CMC and the regulatory aspects of biologics manufacturing.

Describe the biggest challenge facing our clients/industry today. How are we addressing this?

There are many challenges the biotech industry is facing today. I believe one of the biggest is the long-term effectiveness of the drug. While there are many new technologies with great potential to address unmet medical needs (as allogeneic CAR-T ATMP), their effectiveness may be compromised by adverse immune responses. At ProPharma, we support clients in building a long-term and strategic plan to bring a safe and effective drug to the market.

What is unique about our culture at ProPharma Group? 

The first word that comes to mind after working at ProPharma is professionalism. It can be seen in the interactions with clients, projects management, communication and the support people and functions give each other.
