Meet Pinky Sharma, Director Medical Writing and Transparency
What do you do at ProPharma? How does your role support improving the health and safety of patients?
As Director of Medical Writing and Transparency, my role is to lead and support a global, dynamic, and highly experienced team of medical writers and clinical trials disclosure (CTD) specialists. I also work directly with clients to ensure the level of support the team is providing continues to meet ProPharma's high standards. I am dedicated to ensuring all challenges are promptly resolved, providing solutions and/or guidance to team members and clients, where needed.
My team is actively engaged in drafting documents that fulfill regulatory and transparency guidelines and requirements. Each day, our team is charged with developing and/or managing content that is centered around advancing the health and safety of patients. Therefore, it is essential for us to prioritize patient safety by ensuring the data presented are accurate and that we are diligent in safeguarding patient privacy where needed.
My support for these teams reflects my commitment to enhancing the health and safety of patients, both directly and indirectly.
What is one lesson you've learned in this industry that has most helped you?
Over the past 13 years, my tenure in this industry has been rich with learning experiences. Among all the lessons I've learned, "Perseverance" stands out as my personal favourite. As we collaborate with a wide range of clients, receive feedback, and confront various challenges, we consistently strive to deliver our very best. This ongoing commitment is what has enabled us to not only endure but thrive in the industry, consistently delivering top-quality service to all our valued clients.
What do you like best about working with clients?
What I like best about working with clients is that through collaboration, I have had the opportunity to delve into many different work methodologies and as such have gained valuable insights. In addition, over the years of working side-by-side with clients, I've developed significant mental resilience, where I have had to push myself beyond my boundaries and comfort zone to meet targets. This journey has been instrumental in bolstering my determination to accomplish more, ultimately contributing to my ability to excel in serving ProPharma, and all our clients, to the best of my abilities.
What's your number one goal / focus right now?
My number one goal/focus right now is actually two-fold: both customer and team satisfaction. The two are very closely intertwined as in my experience the latter directly contributes to the former. Keeping my team happy results in high performing teams, which then, in turn, makes the clients happy. Thus, both objectives coexist harmoniously and are equally important to me and command my focus.
