Meet Ioana Panturoiu, Senior Manager, PV Alliance Management
What do you do at ProPharma? How does your role support improving the health and safety of patients?
I am the Senior Manager of the Pharmacovigilance (PV) Alliance Management team, a dedicated team of PV Consultants and contractors supporting the PV Alliance Management services for ProPharma clients. Our team supports clients with set up and management of local pharmacovigilance activities, management of safety data exchange agreements and set up and maintenance of the pharmacovigilance system master file (PSMF).
What do you like best about working with clients?
The best thing about working with pharmaceutical industry clients is the positive impact our work has by contributing to improved patients’ health and well-being. Working with clients in this sector gives us the opportunity to ensure their compliance with regulations, by promoting patient safety and trust. This sense of purpose is highly fulfilling and motivating.
Describe the biggest challenge facing our clients/industry today. How are we addressing this?
One of biggest challenge facing our clients/industry today is the changing of the pharmacovigilance landscape, influenced by legislation updates, increasing patient expectations and scientific advancements. While this happens, compliance with existing regulations must be ensured. Managing and harmonizing pharmacovigilance activities in multiple territories around the world, while adhering to local regulations can be complex and resource-intensive. ProPharma can support clients to set up and adapt their pharmacovigilance processes and systems, ensuring compliance and patient safety.
Tell us a little bit about yourself outside of work.
During my free time I enjoy hiking, photography and documenting my travel experiences on my blog. I live in one of the most picturesque cities in England, and I also love vising my home country, Romania, as frequent as possible.
